Council Tax is increasing 1.7% for the year 2021/2022. This means on Band D the council tax will increase by £2.48. Currently £140.53 The council says it is pleased that the increase has been kept below 2% in these challenging times 19.2.21

To approve 3 submission forms -BTC in response to Reg 19 consultation over submission draft to Salop Local Plan

There were questions about Cemetery Lodge. Costs and the tenant. The costs of renovation etc were £4439 (net £3741). A letting agent is in charge of who should be a tenant of Cemetery Lodge

£15,161 was approved for payment . Management fee of the Community hall was discussed It was agreed to waive £5K management fee. The TC fee remains at the same levels as 20/21 but admin costs are up 2.75% and the market fee up 15%. ( Blimey – thats a big increase in these pandemic times Ed)

The precept – Salop CC to pay BTC £638,498 to meet expenses 21/22

It was decided to defer the decision to transfer £15K to the earmarked Reserve Cemetery fund. ( I wish this was explained to the lay reader – don’t know what it means -ED)

Mobile toilets (27?) agreed for Severn parcel 29 March – 30 September

Three permits agreed for the said park for concessions to trade and to be paid for in advance ( Ice Cream Van £4600: Refreshments £1,200: Children’s Play area £800) ( lets hope lockdown ends – Ed)

Tree Maintenance Policy agreed

The public were not allowed to listen to the discussion about Bridgnorth Town Debtors or the discussion about the Precept

Provisional support for the 1st edition of the Bridgnorth Town Plan
